Protecting Your Child from Kidnapping by Knowing the Facts
Protecting Your Child from Kidnapping by Knowing the Facts is what every parent should be concerned about. It is hard to imagine that there are people out there that could and would harm someone so young and innocent in fact, it is estimated that approximately 60,000 children go missing each year. Everyday children are being watched by these adult predators, and they attempt to lure them into homes or vehicles. Many kids don’t even realize the danger because they are unsuspecting and uninformed about the dangers from strangers.Didn’t catch that? This explains it.
The statistics are grim, many kidnapped and abducted children are never found and the fortunate ones that are found suffer from emotional and very often times visible scars. Parents have the ability and responsibility to educate their children of the dangers from strangers, the more parents who educated their kids of the dangers of kidnapping the safer our communities will be.
The best way for parents to protect their children is to educate them; we can’t always be around our kids so it’s vital they understand how to watch out for adult predators. Explain to your child and their friends to always play in groups because children who play alone outside are at risk because kidnappers look for isolated children.
You should always know where your children are, make sure that they have memorized your cell phone number and that they know their home address. Children need to know what a stranger is, a stranger is an adult they do not know and kids need to understand never to get into a vehicle with a stranger.
Have your child be prepared if a stranger grabs them, they should scream for help and try and run away. Your child’s knowledge and awareness can save and protect them from the dangers from adult predators.
